Cultural instructions:

• Plant in rich fertile, well-drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun
• Plants may be grown in containers if preferred using a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.3
• Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established
• Prune lilac bushes in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining stems
• After pruning, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the shrub
