  • Flowers: pink that bloom on bare stems in spring

  • Soil: moist but well-drained soil
  • Position: sun to partial shade
  • Rate of growth: slow to average

Cultural instructions:
  • After flowering produced heart shaped dark red foliage that matures into green shades, in autumn, the foliage transforms into hues of orange, bronze and red
  • On arrival, remove from packaging upon receipt
  • Plant out as soon as possible as long as the ground is not waterlogged or frozen
  • Planting in ground: dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball
  • Plant to the same level the plant was at in the pot
  • Place plant in the hole and backfill
  • Firm in and water well
  • Planting in containers: ensure the planter you have selected has drainage holes
  • The container should be at least 38cm containers. Fill the container with a good quality Rose, Tree & Shrub compost and follow the steps above
  • Watering: please keep your plants well-watered while becoming established
  • Do not allow the soil to dry out completely. You can check by feeling just below the soil surface to see if the soil is dry or damp. Do not waterlog around the roots
  • Pruning: prune to tidy. Remove any damaged or crossing branches in late autumn or winter
  • Winter care: does not require any special winter care. Deciduous, it will lose leaves in autumn, with new foliage each spring
