This set of two Gardenia Crown Jewels potted plants from Thompson & Morgan features large white double flowers with glossy evergreen leaves. Beautifully fragranced, these eye-catching, bowl-shaped flowers bloom from July to September, while the attractive foliage will remain all through the winter, making them a must-have for your seasonal garden.

Delivered directly from Thompson & Morgan - please allow 7 - 10 working days for delivery to UK Mainland, Highlands and Islands only, excluding Northern Ireland.

  • Flowering period: July - September
  • Plant position: full sun
  • Soil type: fertile, non-alkaline, free-draining
  • Mature height: 60cm x 120cm (23.6" x 47.2")

Contains:
  • 2 x Gardenia Crown Jewels (9cm potted plants) - with scented white flowers

Cultural instructions:
  • Plant in sheltered borders or containers in any well drained, rich fertile, neutral to acid soil.
  • Choose a sheltered position in dappled or semi-shade.
  • Water regularly until plants are fully established.
  • Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the soils acidity over time.
  • Where rain water is not an option we suggest a regular application of sequestered iron or sulphur chips to the pot compost or soil will boost the soil acidity.
  • Feed plants regularly throughout the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
  • Whilst this variety of gardenia is perfectly hardy, it will appreciate some winter protection during particularly cold periods.
  • In very cold climates, container-grown plants may be moved to a cool, frost-free position for the winter.
