How big can dahlias get?
Dahlias come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny to giant, with some reaching up to 6m tall and the flowers sizing up at whopping 35cm across - the size of a dinner plate!
Where were dahlias discovered?
Dahlias were first discovered by Spanish botanists in the 16th century, who noted them growing wild on the hillsides of Mexico.
When should you plant dahlias?
The best time to plant out dahlias is late May or early June, when there are no more frosts forecast.
