Pride Month

QVC is proud to celebrate and support LGBTQ+ Pride Month which starts on 1st June in the UK. 

Inclusion, diversity and kindness in society and the workplace is incredibly important to us at QVC UK. We come together to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, throughout international Pride Month and always. Pride Month is celebrated internationally throughout June and started following the Stonewall Riots in 1969 in the US. Pride Month honours the movement for rights, and celebrates the culture of, the LGBTQ+ community.

QVC are proud to shine a spotlight on Switchboard LGBTQIA+ support line across our channels throughout June. Now in its 50th year, Switchboard LGBTQIA+ support line provides advice, support, and a referral service for anyone in the LGBTQ+ community, anyone considering issues around their sexuality and/or gender identity or friends and family of those in the LGBTQ+ community, through their phoneline, email and instant messenger service. 

The charity is entirely run by volunteers and funded by donations, and since their foundation in 1974 they have answered over 3 million calls, taking over 18,000 calls in 2020 alone. You can also support by donating to your local LGBTQ+ charities and researching to make sure you are doing all you can to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community throughout the month of June and beyond.
