Treat your taste buds this summer with Thompson & Morgan's trio of Tomato Meltaway plants. This delicious variety of tomato plant produces melt-in-the-mouth fruits that are virtually skinless and seedless, with a moreishly sweet flavour you'll simply love! Glossy and crack-resistant, these tomatoes are ideal for snacking on straight from the vine or for adding bursts of freshness to salads, making them a joyful addition to your garden.

Delivered directly from Thompson & Morgan - please allow 7-10 working days for delivery to the UK mainland, highlands and islands only (excluding Northern Ireland).

Tomatoes done differently - Thompson & Morgan's Meltaway variety celebrates the tomato's delicious flavour, without the distraction of tough skin or seeds. Its fine skin and seedless interior allows you to enjoy the irresistibly sweet flavour straight from the vine, making them a moreish snack you'll want to have again and again!

A true showstopper - not only do these plants grow gorgeous tomatoes, but they also create a fabulous display in your garden when you select the tower planter option to go with them. It supports vibrant vertical growth that will catch your eye and bring bright pops of colour to your outdoor space!

Plenty to go round - each truss is designed to carry around 15 - 20 cherry tomatoes, averaging around 8 - 10kg, so you can keep going back for more!

  • Mature size: (h x w): 1.8m x 60cm

Contains:
  • 3 x Tomato Meltaway plants (9cm pot)

Growing instructions:

  • Pot up and grow tomato plants in warm, frost-free conditions.
  • Outdoor cultivation: Wait until all risk of frost has passed before transplanting tomatoes - around late May/early June, depending upon location. Choose a sheltered position in full sun on fertile, reliably moist, well-drained soil. Alternatively you can grow your tomatoes in patio bags in good quality compost and use your tower planters for your other climbers.
  • Greenhouse cultivation: When growing in a heated glasshouse tomato plant may be transplanted at the end of May or when the first flowers are showing, if earlier. Allow three plants per growbag, or one per 25cm (10") pot, or plant tomatoes directly into the greenhouse soil. Cordon types should be transplanted at a distance of 60cm (24") apart.
  • Cordon/indeterminate varieties: Drive a (5ft) cane into the soil adjacent to each plant to support them as they grow and tie each main stem to its support with soft garden twine.
