Bring variation and intrigue to your outdoor spaces with this Acer Taylor from Thompson & Morgan. In Spring, the fresh new leaves are salmon-pink, maturing to green with a creamy-white margin by mid-summer. In Autumn the foliage turns to lime-green, for a final splash of colour before the leaves fall from the stems. Perfect for growing in a border or container, this gorgeous shrub will add a wonderful focal point to your garden.

Cultural instructions:
  • Acer trees require a good watering regime for the first couple of years by watering well and regularly throughout spring and summer. Increase in periods of hot or dry weather. If possible, use rain water instead of tap water as this is more acidic and better for foliage colour
  • Pruning should be carried out in the dormant season (November to March) as this variety will bleed during other times of the year, which can weaken the branches. Acer Cascading will rarely need pruning as their natural shape is normally the most attractive. Any pruning should be carried out with a less is more approach, only removing crossing, damaged or diseased branches
  • Feed in spring and early summer with a slow-release fertiliser or a liquid feed
  • Pot grown Acer Trees are particularly vulnerable to winter frosts. Wrap your containers with fleece or bubble wrap. If there is snow fall, gently brush the snow from the branches to ensure it does not weigh down the framework and cause damage
