What's your favourite plant and why?

My favourite plant is a begonia. They are reliable, they flower all summer and are one of the hardest working plants. They require little attention and continue to flower, even if they are not well fed or regularly deadheaded. 

What inspired you to start gardening?

I was inspired to start gardening by my mum and was encouraged to grow plants from a very young age. Gardening definitely runs in our family genes, and I was born to love all plants.

Describe your dream garden. How does it look?

My dream garden is the one I'm trying to create - a garden with separate areas that we can enjoy whatever the weather. This includes a formal garden, natural garden, exotic Mediterranean area and a grow-your-own patch.

What is your number one gardening tip everyone should know?

My number one gardening tip is simply give a plant what it wants. If it loves shade, give it shade. If it loves sun, put it in a sunny spot. If it adores moist soil, make sure the plant doesn't constantly dry out.
