Does the divan come in two parts?
Yes, for ease of delivery the divan will arrive in two parts and be assembled it for you in your room of choice.
Can the mattress be bent round corners to get it into the home?
No. The mattress can be slightly manipulated to complete delivery but bending the mattress can compromise both the springs and the filling layers, which could potentially cause problems with the mattress performance and longevity. Please measure first and be sure that the mattress can fit easily upstairs and into your room of choice.

What is the maximum weight the mattress can support?

What is the construction of the divan base?
This is a platform top (solid) divan base.
How much can the drawers of the divan base hold?
- Large drawer: 15kg (spread evenly)
- Small drawer: 7.5kg (spread evenly)
Are the drawers the same size on the Double & King Size options?
Yes. The drawers on the Double, King Size and Super King Size are all the same size and have the same weight capacity.
Are there drawers on each side of the bed?
On the Double, King and Super King, there are two drawers (one small, one large) on each side of the bed. On the Single size option, the two drawers are on the same side of the bed.
On the Single option, can you set the bed up so the drawers are positioned on the side I prefer?
Yes and, if purchased with a headboard, the headboard can be fitted at either end of the bed so that the drawers can be on the left or right side of the base as preferred.
Are there springs in the divan base?
No. This is a solid, platform-top divan base.
Does the mattress need to be turned over regularly?
This is a single-sided, easy-care mattress. Rotate/spin head-to-toe only.
Is the mattress zip and link?
No.
Can the mattress be used on any bed base?
Yes but with the recommendation that, if laid on slats, the slats on the bed be no more than 7.5cm (3") apart.
Does the bed base come with the headboard?
No. The headboard is available separately.
Will this mattress dip?
This Sealy mattress has been manufactured in line with new Global durability standards and is improved versus previous models. If care instructions are followed, body impressions/settlement will not be an issue with this mattress.
My partner and I often disturb each other whilst asleep due to rolling together. Will this mattress help?
Yes. This mattress is designed to respond to the individual’s body meaning that when your partner moves, you won’t. It will help to eliminate roll-together thereby reducing partner disturbance. It also ensures correct spinal alignment thereby reducing pressure points and reducing the chances of the sleeper tossing and turning through discomfort.
The edges of my previous bed collapsed, will that happen with this mattress?
This mattress is designed with a unique four-sided Edgeguard system meaning that the edge of the bed is robust, preventing it from collapsing. It also has the additional benefit that you can lie right on the edge of the bed without feeling like you will roll out, enabling the user to maximise the full width of the bed with no loss of comfort.
What size fitted sheet is needed with this mattress?
The mattress is 29cm (11.4") deep, so the standard fitted sheet from many QVC brands will fit the mattress comfortably.
What is the height of the divan base?
The divan base is 38cm (15") high/deep when measured from the floor and with the feet properly attached.
What is the height of the mattress and divan combined?
When fully assembled, the total height of the bed (divan and mattress) is 67cm (26.4").
Can I use a featherbed or topper with this mattress?
Both can be used should you wish but both should be unnecessary with the pillowtop construction.
What is the manufacturer's guarantee on the bed?
Five years.
Is the mattress guarantee valid if I use it on a different base/divan?
Yes, the five-year manufacturer's guarantee is applicable, to the mattress only, irrespective of it being used on a non-Sealy base.
This bed has memory foam. Will it make me warm/overheat in bed?
The memory foam layer is positioned within the fillings in such a way that you’ll get all the pressure-relieving benefits of memory foam without the drawback of overheating. The Gel layer ensures breathability whilst the Smartex fabric technology ensures moisture is wicked away from the sleeping surface so as to help regulate body temperature whilst you sleep.

What is a sense-and-respond spring?
A sense-and-respond spring is unique Sealy technology which sees the springs sense the sleeper's body weight and thereby works harder to support the body where it's most needed. The sense-and-respond spring helps distribute the body's weight across the mattress surface so as to ensure correct spinal alignment. Correct spinal alignment will help reduce the build up of pressure points, will help promote good blood flow while you sleep and subsequently ensure an undisturbed sleep. It is especially effective when there is a big disparity in size and weight in a couple.
