Archos have led the way in the field of portable entertainment and storage devices since 1988. Even the company's name reflects the success of its award-winning products: Archos is Greek for 'master' (and also an anagram of French founder Crohas' last name!).
Pioneers in portable media players
Archos released the first pocket-sized, hard drive-based MP3 player in 2000 with the Jukebox 6000 and pressed ahead in innovation by bringing the world the portable video player just three years later.
Innovative product development
Since then Archos have consistently pushed ahead of the curve being the first to bring television recording, wireless connectivity and touch-screen technology to their portable media players.
