For the autumn/winter 2008 season I wanted to create a sleek, sophisticated and glamorous collection, celebrating understated opulence.
The stones
I've added some fabulous new stones, including snowflake obsidian, a soft black stone covered in pin-pricks of white - think actual snowflakes; each piece is unique. Take a look at my Polished Tumble Ring to see just how pretty this stone is.
Mookite is my new favourite stone, in fact it's fair to say I am slightly obsessed with it! Mookite is possibly one of the most versatile stones; its warm multi-hues possess chameleonic qualities that match whatever you are wearing. My new Mookite Tumble and Tassel Necklace displays the stone perfectly.
Gorgeous violet-hued eyestone is definitely one to watch out for. Try my Eye Stone Black MOP Charm Necklace.
And I can't finish without mentioning our favourite - blue sandstone! This navy blue resembles a romantic dark starry night and to me is the diamond of the Lola Rose collection. Check out my Friendship Butterfly Necklace to see what I mean.
The styles
As for styles this season, necklaces are concentrating on both clashing and complementary colour combinations, single strands of alternating shapes, or chunky coloured multi-strands.
Our Mookite Circle Disc Graduated 50cm Necklace is one of my personal favourites as it is big and bold, yet incredibly comfortable on the neck. Wear this for a special dinner out with friends or even on the beach!
We are also relaunching our classic flower for this season. This has very sentimental memories for me as it was where Lola Rose began. Here's a sneak preview of our classic Gemstone Single Strand Necklace - a romantic and slightly vintage piece, and of course very on trend for this season's floral fashions.
