Gallic inspiration

With its roots in Provence, L'Occitane shares the colours, scents and traditions of the south of France with the world.

When founder Olivier Baussan created L’Occitane, he set out to capture this bounty in all-natural products.

The fertile south of France remains the inspiration for all L’Occitane fragrances, bath, body and skincare products, and products for the home.

Natural ingredients, traditional products

Olivier's objective was to use natural ingredients, preserve local customs and update traditional products. Inspired by local folklore and history, Olivier has developed products that represent the land and people of Provence in the south of France.

L’Occitane deals with local producers all over the Mediterranean region to acquire precious ingredients such as lavender, honey, neroli flowers and organic verbena.

From these simple, natural ingredients, L’Occitane creates products that serve the ultimate goal of well-being in ourselves and in our homes.
