Transform your look from work to play with these styling tips from ghd. Have fun experimenting and show off a new and sexy style!
Use a little ghd Obedience Cream and dry your hair naturally.
Tip: If you have naturally curly hair, it's a good idea to comb each section through with a wide-toothed comb prior to straightening.
Take a section of hair about one inch wide and apply ghd Thermal Protector for dry/coarse hair. This protects the hair from the heat of your ghd styler.
Insert your styler horizontally, close to the root.
Tip: The finer the section, the closer you'll get to the roots.
Hold the end of your styler gently and slowly glide down to the ends of your hair, curving under gently as you reach the ends.
To finish, lightly mist with ghd Reflection Spray for the ultimate shine.
Before blow-drying, apply ghd Thermal Protector for weak and damaged hair and ghd Fat Hair Lotion to give extra body.
Take a section of hair about one inch wide and comb through so it’s smooth.
Lightly mist the hair with ghd Creation Spray, which will help to hold your curls for longer.
Insert your ghd styler vertically at the root area, whilst holding the ends of the section with your free hand.
Rotate the styler 180 degrees and then gently slide the plates down the length of the hair until you reach the end.
Release the curl, catch it and wrap around your finger.
Tip: The slower you move the styler, the firmer the curl will be.
To dress the curls, rub a small amount of ghd Shining Serum between your hands and gently run your fingers through your hair to loosen the curls, dishevel and add definition. For extra hold, add a light mist of hairspray.
When your hair is wet, spritz it with ghd Thermal Protector - suitable for normal to fine hair. Then blow-dry.
Tip: Blow-drying the hair beforehand gives the perfect base for creating curls.
Take a section of hair about one inch wide and comb through so it's smooth.
Lightly mist the hair with ghd Creation Spray to help hold your curls for longer and smooth the product through with your fingers.
For extra volume and root lift when you're curling, insert your ghd styler vertically at the roots. Lift the styler away from your head, rotate it 180 degrees and then glide down the length of the hair until you reach the ends.
Apply ghd Polishing Serum to your hair for extra definition. Use your fingers to dress and separate the curls, and then lightly mist with some hairspray.
Use ghd Thermal Protector for weak and damaged hair, followed by ghd Uplift Spray. Then blow-dry the hair with a ghd paddle brush.
The ghd IV Mini Styler is great used to add flicks and movement to short, choppy styles.
Take a section of hair about one inch wide and insert your styler at the root area, as you would for straightening the hair. Slide your styler down the hair and, as you move towards the bottom, flick it outwards and upwards.
Tip: The more you rotate your styler at the end of the section, the bigger the flicks will be. Don't worry about the size and neatness of the sections - this adds to the texture.
Work through the middle section of your hair the same way, creating flicks and movement.
For a funky finish, apply a hair wax and dishevel. If you need it, apply a light mist of hairspray for extra hold.
