In two minutes of the most luxurious massaging, my skin is left like silk, and the tone and texture illuminated.
Janey, Glasgow on Lulu's Time Bomb Dermabrasion Cream with Night Cream
A: Night-time is the best time to launch a massive attack on the effects of ageing, because you are not going out or applying make-up. My Flashback Night Cream drenches the skin in rich oils, botanicals, anti-oxidants and phytolipids. Glory Days Day Cream is formulated to create a type of matrix that locks in moisture and creates an ideal finish for make-up.
A: I prefer to apply the Smart Balm Eye Cream first, covering quite a wide circle around the eyes. Then I apply the day cream, overlapping the eye cream on my cheekbones to make sure all my skin is covered with cream. During the day I re-apply the eye balm. Although, it isn't wrong to apply the day cream first as the two products do not interfere with each other.
A: Either! I originally intended the Youth Juice to be used under the night cream, but through customer feedback I've learned that many people also use it under the day cream. The Youth Juice contains essential oils which cannot be manufactured effectively within a cream, so it supplements them. Both creams 'seal' in the oil, so you get the maximum benefit. Try it out and see which you prefer.
A: I recommend using the Polishing Pads with every cleansing, but you can adapt the regimen to suit your skin.
A: The Polishing Pads are designed for single use, however they are very sturdy. You should feel free to experiment with rinsing them out and using them again. The rougher side will wear down after use depending on how firmly and how long you rub with it.
A: It is best to use a separate eye-make-up remover to avoid getting cleanser (any brand) in your eyes and to target cleansing ingredients which will lift off make-up, especially mascara, with minimal rubbing. My Eye R&R Make-Up Remover will cleanse and soothe your eye area and my Take-Off Time Cleanser is perfect for the rest of your face.
A: Everyone's skin is a bit different, and generally people are the best judge of what is best for them. I like to use the Blast to the Past Dermabrasion two to three times per week. You should feel refreshed and glowing after using the Dermabrasion followed by application of the Flashback Night Cream and / or Youth Juice Oil. If your skin feels raw and red, then you are likely to be using it too often or with too much vigour.
A: Yes, you can still use the Blast to the Past Dermabrasion even with sensitive skin, so long as you do not have open cuts or skin irritations. Start at a lower level of use and build up to a level that is comfortable for you. Start out perhaps once a week using light circular motions in your application. If you are comfortable with that, you can increase the frequency as well as the strength and duration of application.
A: A toner or freshener is not necessary and can sometimes be drying. A toner will not interfere with the Lulu's Time Bomb creams so you can use one if you like as long as you don't feel that it is drying.
A: While my Glory Days Day Cream does contain some sunscreen ingredients, it has not been SPF tested or rated. The day cream can be used in combination with a sunscreen, which would provide you with all the benefits of the range plus sun protection.
A: I am pleased to inform you that Lulu's Time Bomb products and ingredients are not tested on animals. We do not test or commission testing of our ingredients or products on animals. No ingredients included in the products have been tested on animals for over 10 years.
A: I am so sorry for your inconvenience with the pump. The pump is in a locked position for shipping. To 'open' it, turn the nozzle head in a counter clockwise direction (looking down at the top) for four to five complete rotations. Gently push down on the pump head as you turn it. You might need to hold the throat of the cap to make sure it doesn't turn along with the nozzle.
