Bobbi's story
'I wanted to look like Cheryl Tiegs when I was 13 years old. She was thin, blue-eyed, and blonde - the epitome of beauty in the late '60s.
I spent a lot of time feeling bad about what I wasn't. Then I saw Ali MacGraw in "Love Story" and I finally saw the possibility of my own beauty.'
How it all started
Bobbi's love affair with make-up started at an early age when she discovered her mother's make-up box! In the 1980s she headed to New York City armed with a degree in theatrical make-up.
The look of the moment was loud, garish, and overdone and Bobbi soon became frustrated by the lack of flattering make-up on the market.
Her first lipstick range
A chance meeting with a chemist led Bobbi to create her first range of ten lipsticks that could be blended to create an infinite number of shades. Women instantly embraced her uniquely flattering make-up and realistic approach to beauty.
The Bobbi Brown lifestyle
In the years since, Bobbi has continually met women's needs with high quality products and accessible beauty and lifestyle advice.
As an entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three, she continues to share her philosophy that beauty should be simple, real, and approachable.
