WinterTrax Set of 2 Pairs of Lightweight Shoe Grips with Reflective Straps - 564136 339 339absolutely fabulous! This morning 9/1/11 it is like sheet ice outside, literally like a skating rink. I've watched people slithering and cars sliding about with my heart in my mouth. Thank goodness and QVC for getting my winter trax to me in time for this. I wore my last ones out as I never went out without them and they lasted for two awful winters and almost a third before giving up the ghost. I was able to walk my dog safely this morning and have so much confidence in the winter trax. It is a lovely feeling knowing I can go out no matter what it's like underfoot. I am a 60 year old female. I have bought winter trax for all my family. January 09, 2011really grippy! I saw these winter trax several weeks ago on QVC and although we had no snow at the time I thought they would be great Christmas presents for parents, sisters, husband etc. just in case we had a bit of icy weather! Boy oh boy was this the best thing I ever did! The snow came and didn't stop! we still have several inches of packed ice and snow everywhere.We live in a small village where ever you go you have to go up or down a hill. Needless to say everyone got theirs before Christmas. They are brilliant very grippy on packed snow and even on sheet ice several inches thick. They stay on even through the thickest snow and are very well made we feel very secure walking in them. Have ordered more sets for friends and loads of people have asked where we got them and of course said QVC but only on wait list at the moment. thank you thank you thank you for bringing these to us and helping us avoid broken bones!!!! December 24, 2010A staple in my winter wardrobe My son and I went for a long walk in our Winter Trax and felt completely confident in the snow and ice. Normally I would be quite fearful of going out if it meant walking in icy conditions. With my Winter Trax on I didn't give it a thought. I only have two slight criticisms. I only take a size 3 shoe, but I did find the Winter Trax quite difficult to get on and it is a bit of a nuisance having to take them off to go in a shop or cafe and then put them back on again. A small price to pay though for walking with confidence in wintry conditions. May 04, 2013Okay but not value for money I got these a couple of years ago and this winter was the first chance I had to use them. I was really impressed with them initially and had a few people stop me in the street asking me where I got them from to which I promoted QVC! I went for these as you don't have to keep buying replacement spikes which fall off or wear out and on snow and ice these are fantastic. However; be warned these are terrible indoors and whilst these obviously aren't meant to be worn indoors I didn't expect to have to take them off when popping in and out of shops! In the supermarket i was skating and could hardly stand upright, in the dept store the trax were getting stuck in the carpet and at work I was taking carpet tiles with me - I thought I would be okay walking to me desk and taking them off at my desk but unfortunately not. Now thats one pair of trax ruined due to getting stuck in carpets so much so that the wires are broken after wearing for only about a week I would say they are quite a costly affair!
