cakey got this mineral veil thinking 'wow' watching the demo on a "young model" gliding under the eye looking flawless...then i applied it under my eyes really didnt sit to well on my skin "well i am 53!! a few hours later it was cakey and had settled in my wrinkles...sorry not f'meeeee!! The BEST of all! I am in my 50s with combination skin. I use the Ready Foundation (203708) with the Precision Face Brush (202949) which I love. I have tried all the mineral veils and this Hydrating one is the very best. It gives a soft faint glow and air brush finish which is very flattering and keeps my makeup true all day. Quite drying, not a patch on the original I had such high hopes for this but was quite disappointed. I found this extremely drying and quite powdery when applying. The texture felt very different to the regular mineral veil and when I stood back and looked in the mirror I didn't get that airbrushed look like I do with the regular veil. I felt like I looked a bit ill, as though something was missing. Maybe it just didn't suit me as I absolutely love bare minerals so its back to the regular mineral veil for me which I adore. Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used BM for about 3 years now and nothing comes close to its perfection in the original foundation. I was a bit disappointed with original mineral veil and started to use a famous clear powder that actually made me look white when I saw myself on some recent photos so I decided to try the hydrating mineral veil and it is as amazing as the other reviewers say! You only need a little to get an airbrushed soft to touch finish with a gorgeous dewy look. If you have tried and disliked the other mineral veils this one is different and might be what you are looking for!!! Love it. You use so little I think it will last for a very long time making it great value for money!!! March 13, 2013
