Catherine Huntley

From appearing as a ‘living doll’ at the age of 4 to a rollerbooting pink elephant for Comic Relief, Catherine has enjoyed a varied career in the wonderful world of entertainment.

Born into an Armed Forces family in Oregon USA, Catherine has travelled extensively, with much of her childhood spent on the other side of the pond. After completing Stage School, she spent several seasons as a bluecoat entertainer at Pontins, and even toured Europe as 'Posh' in an award-winning Spice Girls tribute band.

Catherine has died on stage many a time - as an actress in murder mystery plays, playing characters Constance Melling and Effi Petting to name but two! You may have seen Catherine before, strutting her stuff on television and instructional dance videos where she earned the nickname ‘Hot Legs Huntley’! Catherine’s career has not been all glitz and glamour, however, as she spent many years in dentistry as a nurse and practice manager. In fact, it was her appearances as a guest presenter for ‘Janina’ tooth whitening system that landed her the job as a main presenter on QVC.

Somehow, amidst all of this activity, Catherine found time to develop her most cherished role yet - motherhood. Thomas made his debut in July 1992 followed two years later by the arrival of Christina. Together they all embrace the adventures life has to offer - ice skating and white knuckle rides feed the adrenalin addiction they all share.

Perhaps it’s due to her being a self-confessed adrenalin junkie that Catherine relishes the excitement that live TV has to offer. She says ‘the rush even surpasses the thrill of my favourite rollercoaster ride - Alton Towers’ Oblivion - which is nearly as exhilaratingly terrifying!’.
