QVC was founded in June 1986 by Joseph Segel, and began broadcasting in the United States in November 1986. QVC UK launched on 1st October 1993 followed by QVC Germany in December 1996, QVC Japan in April 2001, QVC Italy in October 2010 and a joint venture with China National Radio in July 2012.
