I use Fairly Light in BM and got the Light version of this. It's an excellent colour match and gives a really lovely air brushed look to the skin (I wear it over Complexion Rescue). I haven't tried applying it with the brush, I've only used the cotton pad that comes with it and it goes on very well. I have dry skin and it doesn't grab any dry patches or sit in fine lines. Also, it has a fairly matt finish with being completely flat which is a bonus in my book. I'll definitely be repurchasing this.

First time I used it I used the brush but it didn't go on nicely it was flaky on my skin so I used the sponge and it went on lovely. I am fair skin and used colour fair and it was lovely on. I would buy it again.

I originally ordered this in the 'Light' option and found it to be so pale - it was only slightly, slightly more coloured than talc!! Went on beautifully however and I was so impressed with the performance that I did in fact keep it for a couple of weeks, even though I thought it made my make-up look too light. THEN a eureka moment when I read one of the reviews which said that the 'Dark' version was in fact not really that dark at all. This was a revelation as on the original presentation, they had said that it was for a darker skin tone. I decided to take the plunge and without returning the pale (thereby keeping all options open!!), I ordered and received the darker version. Well, I am absolutely delighted with it and have been using it for about five weeks now (having of course returned the lighter one). The dark is a lovely, lovely warm shade and would be flattering, in my opinion, to most skins, except for the porcelain, very light shades of skin. It has to be said however that this is not a powder for a 'complete coverage' look, but as the name suggests, a 'perfecting veil', which could be described as 'see through'. The retractable brush is absolutely gorgeous. I start on a clean, moisturised skin, by just touching the brush into the powder and quickly dusting it over my eye lids, lashes and under my eyes. Only a tiny little, but this is enough to stop any wet eye or migration of eye make-up. Then I apply my fantastic Doll 10 Hydragel foundation, and matching concealer. Add blusher, then contour with a darker shade of blusher. Now for the magic .... I swirl the Perfecting Veil round the compact once or twice, then give my whole face (missing out the eyes this time) a light dusting. It imparts an elegant translucent veil, without disturbing any of the existing make-up. It truly is 'perfecting' and aptly named. If I'm going out for any length of time, no need to take the compact, I swirl the brush again, to coat it with the powder, put its lid on and hey presto, I'm set for a small touch-up, maybe in the T-zone, a few hours later. It is marvellous for this and doesn't 'grab' onto any damp patches on the skin. Never, ever looks cakey and is not drying in any way. As I am in my early 60s, this is very important to me. Just remember Ladies, it is a Veil and not to be applied in a thick coat. I would without hesitation highly recommend this lovely product.

I enjoy using the BM mineral veil so wanted something similar in the handbag for touch ups, sadly I had to return this after giving it a go for a few days. Very cakey even over well prepared skin and had a funny odour. It didn't really provide any kind of coverage and I needed top ups more than I expected. Found the brush useless with it and even the slightest touch flicked it everywhere and covered me and the sink in powder. Finally, found the fair far too pale even for my fair skin, washed me out.

After using, and loving the range of mineral veils, I was a little apprehensive about this. I was concerned that it would give my complexion a powdery finish. Fortunately, once again I was proved wrong! Not only is it convenient when it comes to travelling, and carrying around in my handbag, it finishes my makeup beautifully. You don't need to use much, a little goes a long way. The sponge it comes with makes application quick, and very easy. Don't be fooled by the light appearance, it doesn't look chalky, goes on smoothly without sitting in fine lines. It's great for taking down any shine without looking unnatural. Well done BareMinerals, I will definitely re-order! I highly recommend this :)

I use BM and have done for years, but have never liked mineral veil as I find it too powdery and ashy on my skin. I tried the bareskin and this was recommended to compliment it - now, I did not get on with bareskin at all, but I LOVE LOVE this veil - it is so much better for me that normal mineral veil. I use it with either my normal BM, or more regularly, with my complexion rescue. It's a perfect finishing product for any of the BM range. I also like how it gets rid of shine, but does not look flat and too matt on skin, which IMO is not flattering.

I'm anywhere from medium beige to medium tan depending on the time of the year & if I have a tan.
I bought the darker version of this & it's very adaptable, light enough to change to your tone. A decent amount of coverage too so you could use this on its own.
The brush is nice, but not my favourite - hence the 4 stars. It's difficult to clean. Being a retractable brush. If you use after skin care or liquid foundation, you MUST! wait till your skin care or foundation is perfectly dry or the feathery bristles of this brush will clog with the product.
I prefer the precision face brush.
A little goes a long way.
