Developed by our resident gardening expert Richard Jackson, this High Energy Bird Food is packed with 12 fantastic ingredients, including sunflower hearts, oyster grit, kibbled peanuts and oats - all specifically included to give your feathered friends a boost of energy whenever they visit your garden. Keep garden birds happily fed and thriving with this bird food from QVCs Richard Jackson.

Only the best for your birds - Richard Jackson has worked with leading bird food specialists to develop this premium feed, which will help to attract a wide range of birds to your garden all year round. The food contains extra-high levels of sunflower hearts (a rich source of oil and protein for all birds) as well as oyster grit which provides a natural source of calcium essential in the breeding season. Other ingredients include naked oats, red and white dari, kibbled peanuts, canary seed, hempseed, nyger seed, white and red millet, and suet pellets.

Extra goodness - this premium mix has been fortified with 10% more energy-rich sunflower hearts than previous offerings, as well as protein-rich dried mealworms, which are loved by fledgling birds and robins.

Chosen with care - each ingredient has been specifically chosen to help attract a type of bird to your garden or outdoor space, along with nutritional benefits, taking into account oil, protein, vitamin and energy levels. Richard’s bird food is free from wheat flakes, a cheap filler used in many bird foods, which offers no nutritional benefit. Kibbled peanuts attract robins, blackbirds and blue tits, naked oats attract song thrushes, sunflower hearts attract many birds including green finches and woodpeckers, and nyger seed attracts goldfinches.

Reviews & Customer Q&A

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Where are the birds? I am so disappointed with this bird food of which I had high expectations. Most other reviewers seem to have had a bird feeding frenzy with theirs but I'm afraid, after 2 weeks, I have only had a ring dove and a parakeet visit and neither have returned. I have tried moving the feeders as suggested but alas, the feeders remain full of seed and bereft of birds. February 01, 2017
Rated 2 out of 5 by Fewer birds I had very high expectations of this bird food, and maybe I have just been unlucky, but the birds in my garden are choosing my old brand rather than this food. I will continue to use it but unless there is a change, I won't be re-ordering. January 31, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect bird food Every single one of the birds that visits my garden loves this. The sight of my bird feeders covered in birds demolishing this is such a lovely one. I have two large feeders and have to fill up every week to keep up with them, but the joy it brings to me and the knowledge that they adore it makes it well worth it. A word of advice I use two traditional seed feeders that I hang at the bottom of the garden. If the birds do not seem to love this feed it is probably due to the feeders you are using or your positioning. I know my birds will not come near my house or use any fancy colourful feeders, which is why they are in plain ones at the bottom of the garden under a tree. January 26, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW! Great value, great substance, great, great, great, a must for all those who love birds. January 25, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely fantastic! We have always fed birds and squirrels in our garden , but since putting out this fantastic feed we have seen birds ( and in numbers!) that have never visited our garden before, they love it! The word is out with the local wildlife, there's a Michelin star restaurant open in the village! This feed is the best, well done Richard! January 23, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best I have always fed the birds with seeds fruit and fat balls for years. This is obviously the best as they leave all of the above and only eat this seed, I tested it using two trees with each on the bird tables. I have a lot of birds in my garden and they all are spoilt now with such luxury food. January 22, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Birds Love it This bird seed is the best ever. Garden full of birds ,even a squirrel has been to look. lovely mix of seeds and other items well done Richard and QVC January 21, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by New food experience I've always fed the birds so I was just excited to see if I had any new varieties coming into my garden. The first day they seem to almost fall over each over for feeding rights, and we did attract higher numbers of birds I've 2 pairs of robins that have been daily visitors for a few years now but definitely more sparrows and the lovely blue ---- and my regular magpies I also have one blackbird I've more pigeons since putting this out possibly not a good thing I'm up to twenty and it's quite breezy when they fly down, but we now have a very daring seagull that wants this food were as before it never showed interest only in the mealworms that I put out for the smaller birds. I might need my auto delivery soon than the 60 days if he continues feeding from this rather than the food I leave for him in my front garden January 18, 2017
