Reviews & Customer Q&A

Rated 2 out of 5 by Could be better designed This mirror sounded great as it's dark when I get up and have to put my makeup on. I sit at my dressing table to put my makeup on, and need a mirror at eye level, but you cannot adjust the height of this mirror only the angle. It is quite bulky and heavy and the power cord is not long enough. Although you can see your face as if it is daylight, the lights hurt my eyes and even after I had turned it off, the bright lights affected by vision for a little while. I like the concept of this mirror but it needs to be better designed to be lighter, slimmer, have adjustable height and a longer power cord or a rechargeable battery. I will be returning it. Rated 2 out of 5 by Mirror mirror Could not see your face when the lights are turned on.Mirror too small, glare lights and plastic and cheap looking.Must have been designed by a man who doesn't wear makeup lol.A woman would straight away realise it's not suitable for putting on your make up. It's a shame because every woman who wears make up would love the perfect design mirror.Sadly I will be returning it same day.It was going to be a Christmas present to myself. December 22, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too small The mirror is too small to get a full view of the face and the lights just glared in my eyes when trying to put my makeup on, so had to switch the light off. I will be returning mine unfortunately. November 17, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Over Hyped ! This mirror sounded like the answer to a multitude of my problems: a specially lit magnifying mirror to make the application of make-up more precise. The mirror was packaged really well, but as I removed the various layers, I felt as if I was left with a fairly ordinary-looking plastic mirror, which actually didn't look very nice as a feature in my bedroom - it would probably be more at home in a modern, white bathroom. I would have ignored all of the above, if the special lighting had met the hype in the presentation. For me it did not. I thought it was meant to be a special 'daylight' feature, that would enable me to apply make-up etc, as if in natural light. To me the two lights seemed more like a standard strip light that was far too bright to look in the magnifying mirror whilst applying make-up. I actually had to stop using it & revert back to my ordinary mirror it was hurting my eyes so much. It is a fairly expensive mirror & I must admit, for the price I had assumed there must be some additional features e.g. the ability to dim the lights as required, or a clever system of locking the mirror to precisely the right position to do a task, like pluck your eye brows. In fact that is not the case: it is essentially an electric white plastic mirror, with an on/off light switch that rotates between two relatively small mirrors, one being 'normal' & the other magnifying. I agree with other reviewers that the size of mirror is small. It might be OK to focus in on doing your eye make-up, but would not be any use to me if I needed a full head shot, to dry my hair, for example. It does have an electric cable to plug in, which in my opinion is very short. I had to get an extension cable out, as if on my dressing table was not long enough to reach the electric socket. I will not be keeping it, as on this occasion the negatives out-weight the positives. November 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Perfect Makeup Mirror It looks good, helps you look good too because of the shadow-free image and I am now applying my expensive makeup to help me look my best, knowing that I don't look under or overdone. It's an expensive mirror but I think it's worth every penny. It's mains operated and replacement bulbs have to be Ottlite type E. Any chance of QVC getting some in stock? November 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yes Yes Yes As a 56 year old make up artist I began to struggle to do my own eye makeup because I now need to wear glasses for close up work.I have bought a array of different types of magnifying mirrors to help solve the problem...some helped..but this mirror is BRILLIANT.It allows me to do my own eye makeup and shows a true reflection of the colours I choose therefore allowing me to blend properly.Highly recommended x November 11, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by I am sorry for the first average review Negative points first; 1. Size of the actual mirror is too small for me, actually my head and face are on a smaller size 2. The mirror does not stay put moves therefore impossible to adjust , maybe mine is just faulty not sure, so disappointed. 3. The light on the sides is not a full straight line which does not look pleasing to eye 4. I stop using it half way and used my old mirror 5. The silver colour panels look not great quality Positive: 1. Arrived very quick 2. Packaging was superb 3. The white pearl plastic is beautiful quality 4. The stability of the whole unit is good. 5. The electrical cable was very good quality I am so sorry but very disappointed and the item is going back. November 11, 2016
