Reviews & Customer Q&A

Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm So lucky!!!! Can't believe I missed this coat before - this time I ordered super quick and was able to get my size - a Small - I am a 12/14 high st. And it fits perfectly!! Please do more I really want a grey one too!!! It fits beautifully, hangs so well, easy to wear & is stunning! The lining in mine is black, not as shown but that's not a problem - to me. I love it when Marla gets it spot on - certainly did with this!! I always try & watch the shows not to miss a must have piece! Missed the first presentation of this one though. January 30, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Style with a swish - bring this back! This jacket flew out when it came to air and I would have bought all three colours if cost wasn't an issue. I eventually settled on the navy as I was seeking a stylish jacket to upscale my dark denims in the cooler months for that true 'smart casual' look (when going for drinks etc); and oh boy does this jacket deliver! The hexagon shaped quilting adds texture and gives it a stylish edge, it's elegant, hangs beautifully, swishes when you walk and is toasty warm. Please bring this back as I would love to purchase another colour (preferably grey). Love love love! October 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous jacket This is a really great jacket. I received it today, tried it on and didn't want to take it off it is so warm and cosy. Hangs really beautifully and looks terrific on. I am a big lady but this jacket just swings over my bottom and thighs so elegantly - I am 5' 5". I ordered size 22-24 and it is perfect, I am a large 24. I have never written a review before but just had to this time because I am over the moon with this jacket. October 07, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Buy this! I have read all the reviews and they are largely positive. I personally would always wash an item on receipt as it might have accidentally been on the floor or could even have some dye imperfections which were not visible initially. For me this is a perfect coat/jacket. Not necessarily for hot weather as the quilting gives it warmth, but for much of the year (not very cold weather)it is a perfect weight in the UK.The cut is to die for as it hides all the icky bits (MW says). It is very stylish and it is all that I wished for when I tried it when it was first put on the website in a different fabric. This fabric is very soft but it has worn well. I like the fact that if I wish I can turn back the cuffs to reveal the dark lining for a more casual look. The fit is all in the shoulders. The slight elastification in the fabric means that I would recommend sticking at your size. I am an XL/size 18 and it fit perfectly. I tried the 2XL and it was far too big. I doubt I could wear the Large as the XL fits exactly to my shoulders. I am broad in the shoulders so I would imagine that if you're narrow across the shoulders going down in size would work. This jacket only fits across the shoulders as it is not buttoned in any way at the front. It should hide any bulges etc but a slender person would look good in it too. The swish at the hips is very flattering. I would buy another however XL is sold out. Perhaps Marlawynne will bring out other colours and fabrics next year ... August 09, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Winter wear This is a beautiful cut jacket and to be honest I Loved it : unfortunately I only ordered it recently and I find it is too heavy for the coming season. The jacket is quite heavy : the sleeves were much too long for me. One point I would make is I wouldn't expect to wash a jacket of this price before wear as suggested on the label. April 02, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Marla fab again! I was not sure about this coat when it arrived. The fabric is beautifully soft and the cut very clever but when I held it it was sooooo heavy. I tried it on a few times and decided to try wearing it to go out. It looked amazing, it felt soft and swished just naturally. I pinned it with a giant safety pin and it never moved or opened up, even with the wind and the collar has not gone wonky just stayed in place - I didn't have to faff readjusting myself, so I humbly accept why the coat is heavy. It needs it to retain the shapes. I've given 4* because there is a bit too much lining in the sleeves, but it can be hidden, also for the price it wouldn't hurt to add a Marla pin for free. Overall I am very happy though, fab coat. March 06, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by cosy and smart Love this jacket really cosy I have worn it indoors and with lightweight blouse it's going to be a favourite piece. Well made and unusual. Blush colour would be nice for spring/summer. March 02, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Do not ask me to prewash!!! I am size 12 and ordered the black in the small. It has an interesting shape and I shall keep it, but maybe it is too warm for some indoor situations The reason I have downgraded this to 3 stars is that a tag is attached that warns that the colours may bleed so the garment should be prewashed before being worn. I cannot understand why, especially in something this expensive, that if the dye isn't fast they cannot prewash it in the clothing factory rather than expecting the customer to do that work for them. When I buy something new I expect to be able to wear it right then, rather than have to wash it. I think this is not acceptable February 26, 2016
