Reviews & Customer Q&A

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Misleading presentation and description On first receiving this pearl strand I was initially disappointed. The pearls are baroque, not round. They do however have very nice colours, a lovely metallic sheen and are a good size. I like the feeling of the necklace as it has a good weight. However, the necklace is nothing like the one which was showcased. The description should have stated if the pearls were going to be baroque and irregularly shaped. However, I will probably keep the necklace as having accepted the difference I now like it very much. I would have given a higher scale for these pearls if I had known they were baroque when I ordered. August 31, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Magnificent I waited for the 64cm length to come into stock and I am so pleased that I did. As a larger lady this sits beautifully around my neckline and the pearls are large and substantial. Ming pearls are very different from the usual freshwater pearls that we see from Honora and these are near round (but not quite round) large pearls with lovely metallic lustre in natural hues of pale pink and cream . They most definitely do not have a smooth surface but do have irregularities on the surface which I think adds to their charm and organic look. This is the nature of Ming pearls. If you are looking for a smooth, flawless necklace, this may not be for you but if you love the fact that this looks so "real" then treat yourself now! Rated 1 out of 5 by Not as shown The previous reviewer has said it all. I wonder who was fortunate enough to be sent the necklaces with the round pearls that the presenter and the model were wearing, the one I received is nothing like them at all. In the recent presentation Jill Franks was rendered speechless by the beauty of the round (yes, round) pearls but every pearl on my necklace is like a misshapen wooden spinning top with bulgy bits and pointed knobbly bits, and some rather withered. Ralph said that no two necklaces are going to be alike but he was referring to the colours, no mention of completely different shapes. It’s going back – I’m not paying this price for what look to me like pearls from the bottom of the barrel! September 04, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stunning The pearls I received are beautiful, lovely colours and with a pronounced metallic lustre. They are weighty and substantial. They are not perfectly round but I didn't expect them to be. Each one is individual which I feel is no bad thing as otherwise they might look like costume jewellery. As it is I feel they look expensive which of course they are. A keeper despite the price! September 03, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Misleading picture and presentation This necklace arrived today. This was a considered purchase and I couldn't wait for it to arrive. When I opened it I thought the wrong necklace had been sent and I had to check the item number against the order online. Whilst the colours of the pearls are gorgeous and are exactly as I had hoped, none of the pearls are round; they are ALL oval shaped and bulgy. ..... The best way I can describe them is that they are like spring onions! Maybe I have unlucky. But I'm not sure yet whether I will keep the necklace. There had been nothing in the presentation to say some might be like this so I am very disappointed. Not sure yet whether I will return, probably will. September 02, 2015
