ASUS T100 2in1 Transformer Book 10.1" Touch Quad Core 2GB Ram & Office - 505058
WELL WORTH PERSEVERING
After persevering with Windows 8 on this flexible little laptop/ tablet I almost know what I am doing. It is fairly easy to use and I am glad I bought it after my non touch screen lap top had an accident.
There were frustrations at first due to everything being new but it is light, portable has a largish hard drive and a great touchscreen so you get used to what it can do. I am pleased I persevered.

Very Good Purchase apart from .....
I had been looking for a laptop for some time but also wanted an ipad for travel and couldn't afford both and couldn't make up my mind between the two. Then I saw this on QVC and it ticked all the boxes and more. It is small, light and convenient for travel and has touchscreen and separates out like an ipad; and yet has got all the power , Microsoft office, keyboard facilities (like precision of the pointer) and stability of a laptop.
The grey finish means it looks smart. The case is really handy. The side pocket just about fits in the charger-it could have been a bit bigger- and I would have preferred a proper handle, but hey I'm just glad that Lee Holbein persuaded me to buy this item even though I had never heard of the company! Showing how to get to the free app store was really useful as well, so thank you Lee for that!
I would have given 5 stars but the lack of a useful manual lets this product down. The little sheet it comes with is not much use, and I have had to get round the pc mostly by guess work and happy accidents. There is a help guide on the desktop itself but what is the use of that if you have to clear the screen, or keep miniminsing it, to follow the instructions? At least if it had been on a separate DVD, you could play it, say, on your TV, and follow the step by step instructions, if they didn't want to send a thick manual in different languages. And yes, Windows 8.1 is a bit of a challenge as well!
This is the only thing that lets it down. Other things like one of the reviewers saying the font being small I didn't find an issue as you can always increase the screen with your fingers. Also they mentioned about videos not playing, that is because you need to download the Adobe Flash player first.
Overall, apart from the point mentioned above about the lack of manual, a very good purchase indeed!

I have used many computers both desktops and laptops and have a tablet also. I was looking
for a computer which was fast - portable -
AND had a big memory. This has to be tried
to be believed. It sits on the table so that
you can use it . Then you can also unclip
the tablet and use it to play games etc whilst
sitting on the sofa. Can I also add that I buy
loads of stuff from QVC and this is the first
time I have left a review.

Where do I start? Before I had had this product 24 hours I knew it wasn't for me! Try as I might I could not get it to play any video clips from the internet. I then tried the same on my other tablet and my laptop and there was no problem so it can't have been my connection. When this tablet is used without the keyboard the icons and font are so small (and can't be enlarged) that one can press and press forever and still you will not be able to close the page! One must unmount the keyboard everytime you want to use it as just the tablet. I never managed to get an internet page up without waiting for ages or in some cases the page never loaded! I updated to Windows 8.1 thinking that would improve things but it didn't. The resolution was not that good and looking at the screen for any length of time gave me a headache! Overall, I am very disappointed with this tablet/notebook and will be returning it forthwith . . .
