Rated 3 out of 5 by JDavidJ Good sound for speech, but keep an eye on the tips
I've owned these for 6 weeks, so have reasonable experience of them. I use them primarily for speech podcasts through my iPod, and using them sitting down (on public transport for example) they are excellent. The hooked rubber inserts that sort of screw back into your earlobe work well at keeping them in place even when walking briskly (that's as fast as I go), and these are only in-ear phones that I don't have to put back in from time to time. However these inserts are just loosely hooked on to the plastic body, and are prone to detach. Sometimes I remove the 'phones and then find one of the inserts has stayed in my ear, or I catch them on clothing and they fall off. I've usually found them somewhere in the house, but one is lost forever. Three pairs are provided, and I'm now using one large and one medium one!
There is also a lot of background noise when one is walking around, general muscle noises, footfalls etc, which perhaps are transmitted to the ear canal from the skull and the inserts and so are not "Tuned Out" by the brain.
Finally, I've listened to music a few times, and there is simply no base frequencies, though to be fair, this is a problem with pretty well any in-ear phone.
I'm disappointed, as they are far from cheap, and if I lose another insert I'll be writing to Bose for a bag of spares.
