I agree the presentation of these palettes is superb and makes them very appealing collectables. The value combined with the gel eyeliner and eye makeup remover is also fantastic. I chose the Paris set and personally was a bit disappointed with the eye shadow colours. I never know what to do with a solid black eyeshadow colour. I would never use it on my lid, so my only option is to try using it as a liner. When I try using it as a liner with the Bobbi Brown liner brush, it just flakes everywhere and I have to start again. The grey/taupe colours weren't as as shimmery as I hoped when I applied them and just looked murky on the eyelid. The neutral colour is very similar to the 'bone' shadow which I already have. Tried the blusher too and it was just too pink on my cheeks. Maybe I chose the wrong set and I am tempted to order the London set instead as the blues might help to give a brighter look.

I missed out on the City Collection, first time around, so literally POUNCED when I saw it back online. Even so, I couldn't choose as they are all so gorgeous! Finally plumped for the LONDON option.
Arrived today and must admit feeling a little trepidation when first applying the glorious little pot of Union Jack blue liner and dark, sky-blue eyeshadow. I decided to go bold and do a dramatic smokey eye; something I'd not done in a very long time. My final eye look... LOVED it! Dramatic, but in no way OTT. Made my eyes look huge and enhanced the olive green colour of the iris. As my title says, I am a Bobbi Brown newbie; now, a Bobbi Brown convert!
Colour pigment and pay-off is incredible. Blends well and will work for day or evening looks. The palette itself is BEAUTIFUL! Hubs glanced over my shoulder, took one look and said, 'that's gonna be collectible!' Have to agree with him. The girl in the trench-coat and the row of palace guards is a little work of art. (Have to figure out how to use this little palette after I eventually hit pan, as I don't want to hide this away in a drawer!) Anyone considering this set - don't hesitate - go for it! Only problem I have now is trying to sit on my hands and not order the Paris set!
