I purchased the bright pink... first. A superb shade. I have been stuck in a "safe neutral" rut as I've sprinted into my mid-50's. But my heart is with "colour". I used to wear a similar shade in the 80's. But this is by far superior. I've found it best to apply with a lip brush. The applicator for the gloss I don't like (silicon tipped) but a lip brush sorts that out.
Colour/pigment is rich, not garish or shocking, I would say Glamorous / Classy.
I wore it to work and received compliments such as it made me look more vibrant and to be honest it made me feel good.
Texture of both products is smooth and thank goodness - no taste or perfume. I personally don't like perfume in lip products.
I loved it so much... I purchased both of the other shades. I never ever thought I would wear gold lip gloss (in the more neutral shade) - but I do now. The "neutral" is not boring or nude, it does not wash me out, it gives a certain subtle vibrancy. I've used the gold gloss over other lipsticks I have e.g. Bobby Brown and it va va vooms them up.
The red - full on, rich and classy.
As mentioned, I'm mid-50's, light to medium skin tone, greying hair and I can wear all three shades easily.
I am very happy indeed.
Jay, I also tried you new foundation, powder to cream and loved that also, and the shadow pallet in grey. The pigment in the shadow, is amazing payoff. At last I have found makeup which gives me results like I see in magazines.
I'm not a make-up artist, not particularly brilliant at application etc but I have found I can get a more Glam finish and look with this range.
From being in a "rut" - I've come out of it. Even my husband who does not seem to notice too much if I have makeup on or not :) commented on how "fresh" I looked. That is the new foundation.
I have a commute each day to the office, working in air con and I've found this makeup stands up well to the rigours of my day. Of course I need to re-apply the lippy now and again, but I have to do that with any lippy. The difference is, as I said, the colour pay off and the result after applying. Glam.
